The digital transition that our media are undergoing requires different competencies and skills from our employees. Therefore, we invest strategically through our training institutes (Academy and Campus) in a distinctive mix of digital skills, leadership qualities and craftsmanship. We believe it’s important for our employees to continuously develop and keep growing.

Given the advent of AI and ChatGPT, it’s safe to say no job will be the same in ten years’ time. “Maybe even
in five years’ time,” says Christa van Veldhuizen, manager of HR, Talent & Development. Together with her team, she ensures that employees and, by extension, the company can keep up with this digital wave.

Academy

Academy by DPG Media offers programmes that are accessible to all employees within DPG Media. The focus is on digital training, personal skills, leadership and job-specific training. A wide range of learning formats is available, from writing articles, creating videos, and TED talks to short online courses and on-site training.

Campus

The Campus is the centre for journalistic development within DPG Media. Journalists and media makers from the Belgian and Dutch news brands receive training here to stay up to date with the profession. There are engaging programmes for all colleagues, as well as exclusive content for the media makers in our editorial teams.
