From the boardroom to the radio: colleagues share their stories in DPG Media Pride exhibition

20/07/2026

Every day at DPG Media, we tell stories that offer a glimpse into the lives of others. We are storytellers at heart. Starting July 20th, we are turning the camera around. In honor of Pride, ten queer colleagues invite you to step closer and get to know their personal stories.

Increasing visibility when it is under pressure

Being able to be unconditionally yourself and having the courage to show who you are is, unfortunately, still not a given. With this exhibition, our colleagues are literally giving their stories space in our offices—especially at a time when the space to be yourself in society is under pressure.

Dichtbij komen

"For me, Pride is a moment to pause and be grateful that I can be who I am and love who I love. With this exhibition, I hope that together we can reflect on our freedom and the pride with which we carry our identity. Additionally, Pride to me is about connection. With these close-up portraits and quotes, I was looking to connect. Taking a portrait from so close up is exciting; capturing the diversity and nuance in every individual is what I enjoy most."

The exhibition can be seen at the DPG Media offices in Antwerp, Vilvoorde, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Hilversum. More images and stories are available in the online magazine. The personal portraits were captured by photographer Tengbeh Kamarah, whose work has previously been featured in publications such as L’HOMO. and de Volkskrant. They explain:

Pride across the board

The exhibition at our offices does not stand alone. Beyond the walls of DPG Media, our brands are also making their voices heard during Pride Month. For instance, Videoland will be joining the iconic Amsterdam Canal Pride during World Pride this summer, Qmusic Belgium is heading to Antwerp Pride with its own truck, and DPG Media is joining forces with Play Media, VRT, and Mediahuis during the Antwerp Pride Parade.
