As from the beginning of September 2018, Kris Vervaet will take on the position of Director Publishing and Digital Business Development in the new media company originating from the merger of de Persgroep Publishing and MEDIALAAN. He will be responsible for the business unit Publishing (Het Laatste Nieuws, HLN.be, Dag Allemaal, Humo, De Morgen, Story, …) and become head of the new digital business division within the merged company. He will also join the executive team of this new media company. Kris Vervaet is 47 and currently Senior Vice President Business Customer Division with EDF in France.

Kris Vervaet has studied civil engineering and for the last 3,5 years he has held the position of Senior Vice President Business Customer Division with EDF in France. He previously worked 3 years with EDF Luminus as Chief Commercial Officer. Before joining EDF he worked 18 years with Proximus, where his latest position was Vice President Marketing & Sales Channels.
