Three Belgian Podcast Awards
Last night, the Belgian Podcast Awards were presented. It was a successful evening for the HLN podcasts: ‘Clouseau 40’ won the award for Best Story and ‘De Kroongetuigen’ took home the prize for Best True Crime podcast. ‘Da’s Klote’ from Qmusic was also honored in the Human Stories category.
Prizes were awarded in 13 categories for the best podcasts of the past year, and our colleagues were among the winners.
In the exclusive HLN podcast ‘Clouseau 40’, Koen and Kris Wauters, together with more than 20 guests, look back on the most remarkable Clouseau moments, from the very beginning until now. “At HLN, we want to tell truly great stories that move people, and we are therefore extremely proud that with Clouseau 40 we have won the Belgian Podcast Award for ‘Best Story’,” says Jan Van Royen, head of News City Creative at DPG Media.
‘De Kroongetuigen’, the podcast that won an award in the ‘True Crime’ category, is a documentary series about real-life stories. “It is a great honor to win in the True Crime category for the third time in a row with De Kroongetuigen. It’s a podcast about murder cases in Flanders, which we try to tell as serenely as possible. And here’s a scoop: the new season is coming later this month!” says Birgit Van Mol, the voice of ‘De Kroongetuigen’.
'Da's Klote’ is a podcast from Qmusic, in which Q-dj Vincent Fierens talks about his own experience with testicular cancer. It is an illness that mainly affects young men and one you can often detect yourself. You’ll hear Vincent in conversation with people close to him, with fellow patients, and professionals, but above all he shares his personal story with you.
